Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Gloss Captivate Me – Update

I got this lovely lip gloss as a free gift on buying Certain amount of Rimmel products. Click here to see that haul. And as promised, I’m back with my thoughts on it.

First of all I really don’t use that many glosses, for the simple reason that when your hair fly in the wind, it gets caught on your glossed up lips. So for me glosses are just not a favorite or most used makeup product.

So when I got this lovely baby, I wasn’t sure how much I was going to use it but I surprised myself. The formulation is light and sheer and felt comfortable on the lips.

I have been wearing this lip gloss On its own as a light wash of colour on the lips for summer. So far I have been happy with it. It’s nothing but a simple gloss but much better in formulation and packaging than many other budget glosses which are sticky.

The shade Captivate me is a soft wine shade with very fine shimmer which don’t look over the top. It has a light pleasant scent which I really can’t define but doe not linger on your lips nor is to excessive that it gives you a headache. The wand is simple and soft, picking up enough product for your lips. I was surprised as many other budget glosses have a very hard wand which feel uncomfortable when you are applying on the lips.

Longevity all depends on eating and drinking during the day which would require re-application from time to time. The 6 hour claim really doesnt hold true. But this gloss does give that beautiful soft glaze to your lips and the fine shimmer in it give a 3 dimensional look.

Don’t worry the shimmer aren’t anything over the top but seamlessly give a beautiful effect to your lips.

In the end you can buy it if you are On a budget considering this gives you mostly the same performance what a high-end gloss would give.
