Kuttu atta ke Pakora(Buckwheat flour fritters) My Navratri Day 5 meal.

Hi Everyone

So today for Day 5, I have a delicious Kuttu atta ke Pakora with Tomato chutney & Dahi( Buckwheat flour fritters served with Tomato chutney & Yoghurt dip)

RECIPE
1 Servings | 10 Prep Time | 20 Total Time

INGREDIENTS
1 cup/ Kuttu atta (Buckwheat flour)
1 / finely chopped Tomato
2 / chopped green chilies
½ tspn /Jeera-Cummin powder
100-200 ml / vegetable oil for deep-frying
1/ finely chopped Medium sized potato
Special rock salt or as we call it Sendha salt as per taste

DIRECTIONS
In a bowl, add the Kuttu atta(Buckwheat flour), green chilies, tomato, salt, jeera powder(cumin powder)& potato. Add, a little water to form a batter mixing all the ingredients together.

The batter should be thick enough to hold together in the oil. Do note this is the most unappealing & unattractive batter, but the taste of it is something different and nothing obnoxious.

Next, heat up oil in a wok, and once it is hot, add in small scoops of the batter to make pakoras(fritters).

Cook them 5-6 mins on one side, and flip them over if required. Ensure that the oil is not too hot that they start burning rather than cooking.

Once, they are cooked evenly – crispy on the outside & cooked through the middle, drain them off on a paper towel.

Serve the Pakoras(fritters) with a Tomato chutney & dahi(Yoghurt dip)
